Xend Finance Passes 100k Users and Launches Into Ghana and Kenya
Check out the worldwide coverage from tech news outlets on our growth in a bear market and what's next...
Oops, we did it again! Just a few months ago we mentioned passing 10k users and now we’ve hit 100k! (Well, since announcing it last week, we’ve shot way past that! But that’s a story for another day. 😉)
📈 We’ve constantly reiterated that Xend Finance will bring meaningful real-world adoption. With this milestone, that comes just over a year after our launch and six months after the launch of our mobile app (on Android and iOS), we have proven there’s a real need for people in underserved regions (and beyond) to convert their local currency and save in US Dollars or stable cryptocurrency — to the tune of 100,000 users! 🙌🏾
🇳🇬 In fact, while we’re open to people all over the world, the majority of our marketing efforts have been in Nigeria – where the local currency (Naira) suffers debilitating devaluation year after year. With this announcement, we also officially announced the launch of our marketing efforts in Ghana (Cedis) and Kenya (Shillings), while accepting both currencies for conversion on our app! 🇬🇭🇰🇪
💸 Our growth with real-world users led us to update our branding and tagline from a “DeFi platform for credit unions and individuals” to a “global crypto bank offering up to 15% interest” on your savings!
